I Am Not a Seagull is a non-fiction picture book about gulls for both fluent and emergent young readers to read independently. It was researched and written while studying for the MA in Sequential Design/Illustration at the University of Brighton. The title refers to the fact that there is no single species called seagull but a variety of gulls all with different names and characteristics. The collaged gulls in the illustrations are scientifically accurate to each species.
